This is not kebab. It is Iberian pork turning on a vertical spit, with a trademark filed to defend it.
The spit turns and everyone looks. The problem is what is skewered on it.
The döner has the best theatre in fast food: a vertical roaster in plain sight, turning all night. And it has the worst perceived product in Spain. The move was to keep the machine and change the raw material: Iberian pork. Not fusion, not parody, a premium product in a format people already know how to read.
