EiraSystem · NextFloor™

A raised access floor manufacturer costed its jobs on a spreadsheet and drew the plans by hand. The brief was to digitise the spreadsheet. The problem was somewhere else.

The real problem

The bottleneck was not the spreadsheet. It was what the engineer knew and nobody had written down.

At EIRA SYSTEM every quote came out of a spreadsheet and a plan drawn by hand in CAD. The brief, as it arrived, was to turn that spreadsheet into an application. But a spreadsheet is replaced in a few weeks and the problem would still be there: the calculation rules, how many pedestals per square metre, what waste factor to apply, which profile takes which span, lived in the senior engineer's head. Every quote depended on him being available, and no figure could be defended in front of a client without calling him. That is not a slow spreadsheet, that is a company that cannot grow beyond one person. So the system was not built to calculate faster, but so that every line of a quote can point at the rule that produced it.

What we built
01

The brand and the sub-brand

EIRA SYSTEM stays as the company that manufactures and installs, and NextFloor™ becomes the technology brand: the patent has commercial standing of its own and sells on its own, without dragging the company name along. Two logos, a clear architecture, and somewhere for the product to grow without renaming the business.

02

The bilingual site

Spanish and English with translated slugs and hreflang across the fifty-four addresses in the sitemap. Product pages, project pages and sector landings for long-tail search. Behind it, a content manager where every uploaded image generates its three variants and is served to fit the screen.

03

The whole ERP, not one module

A hundred and thirty-one routes, sixty-nine of them in the panel, over thirty-seven tables. Clients, opportunities, catalogue, projects, stock, approvals and an audit log that records who touched what. Seventeen roles with per-action permissions: view, create, edit, approve, export and delete are granted separately, because on a building site the person who looks is not the person who decides.

04

The Designer

The client uploads their plan. Polygons are drawn over it, the scale is calibrated, and the system works out the bill of materials to the millimetre: profiles, cross pieces, self-levelling bases, threaded rod, nuts, washers and joint tape. Every line cites the rule that generated it, and the quote keeps versions, so you can compare the approved one against the new one and see exactly what changed and why.
