Torrox interpretation centre
Two thousand years of a town told in animated watercolour, from Roman Turrus to contemporary Torrox.

A small town cannot compete with a large museum. It can compete with its story.
Torrox has a Roman villa, an Andalusi history and an old quarter almost nobody knows how to read. On a municipal budget no archaeological object competes with a capital city, so the move was to stop exhibiting objects and start telling time. Animated watercolour shows what no longer exists, which is exactly what a site cannot show.
Script by era
Four historical layers, from Roman Turrus to contemporary Torrox, with hand-drawn animated cartography of Al-Andalus.
